Pairing Rust+
Pair a game server so Rust++ can see your devices, map and team
Ways to pair
- Install the extensionAdd the Rust++ extension to your browser.
- Sign in with SteamOpen rustplusplus.app and sign in.
- Confirm pairing in the gameJoin the server, press Esc, open the Rust+ section and confirm pairing the server. The extension picks it up on its own.

- Install the appDownload the Windows app — more about it.
- Sign in with SteamThe app opens the site and remembers your sign-in.
- Confirm pairing in the gameThe app accepts the pairing itself: no extension and no manual entry.
- Open “New connection”The button is in the server picker.
- Paste the tokenPaste the Rust+ token into the field.
- SaveThe server appears in the list, as after a regular pairing.
If pairing fails
- There is no Rust+ section in the game menu: Rust+ is turned off on the server. Only the server owner can turn it on.
- Pairing may drop after a server wipe — confirm it again.
- Pairing hangs for a long time — wait and try again; registration sometimes takes longer than usual.
If the server connection is lost
When the connection to the server is lost, an icon appears in the top bar. Click it and choose “Reconnect”: Rust++ opens a new connection to the server. You can press it once every 15 seconds.
