Cupboard and upkeep
How long your base will last and when decay starts
A Storage Monitor on the cupboard
A Storage Monitor attaches to the Tool Cupboard or a Large Storage Box and draws 1 rW. Rust++ sees the cupboard contents and shows your upkeep reserve from them.
Decay alert
The decay rule sends a notification when the upkeep reserve drops below a set threshold. The threshold is set in the monitor settings.
Player count tax
Since September 2026 the cupboard charges an extra upkeep tax for the number of authorized players.
| Players | Tax |
|---|---|
| First 4 | none |
| Next 6 | +2% each |
| Beyond that | +4% each, 300% at most |
Players authorized on the cupboard and on code locks count, as well as those deauthorized in the last 24 hours.
